Bottle from Barley Wine (Copenhagen) Having read the style percentile lowered my expectations, but it was a realy good I2IPA. Nice citrusy hop flavour!

Bottle. Copper coloured. Small head. Hoppy aroma, but also hints of wheat. The taste is extremely bitter, although complex. Grapefruit/dried citrus, caramel. Smooth. One of the best IPA:s i´ve had for a while.

(On tap) Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Lightly tart aroma with yeast and fruit. Quite full-bodied with sourish fruit and some yeast. Tart finish. 120908

(On tap) Pours a dark brown with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Hard roasted malts and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied with sweetish roasted malts and dried fruit. Subdued bitterness. Strangely this appears more like a Belgian strong than an Imperial Stout - maybe it’s all the added sugars and syrups. 120908

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a medium bubbly beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of grassy hops as well as some grapefruit and over ripe - almost rotting fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hops - though not very pronounced, but still giving it some notes of pineneedles and grapefruit, combined with over ripe fruits. The alcohol burns slightliy in the top of the throat.

Bottle at Orsted Olbarog. Amber, lots of floaters in suspension. Grapefruit on aroma. Decent IPA. Good DIPA. Good grapefruit. Good balance, ok malt. Could do with more dominant malt. Hop is peppery and stings until the end. Decent hop and DIPA hop sting on finish.

aroma: very nice , plumes, dark fruits, seem well balanced. slight vinous (delicious). looks : red, no head. flavor:well balanced, "brown ale"’ish, cellared oaked flavor, slight alc. flavor, but far less than expected at 9%, sugar, aftertaste is kinda sugarlike, in a nice way. also some caramel.
