Bottle shared. Burgundy pour, no head. Nose is berries, stone fruits and cherries, funky, tart. Taste is moderately funky, light to mid acidity, showing berries and cherries, some leather too. Jammy, intensely fruity. Closes with a tart, fruity finish, has a light to medium body and soft to average carbonation.The tonka is completely gone, otherwise it's a tasty, if a bit basic fruited wild.

Tap at MadKert, köszi Marci! Ruby pour, no head. Nose is light funk, light acids, jammy blueberries. Taste is low to mid sourness, a touch of funk, blueberries. Fruity, tart finish, light body, soft to average carbonation. Perhaps my least fav madX release so farn, aint nothing wrong with it, it's just not quite interesting.

Bottle shared at MONYO, courtesy of the Mad crew. Opaque golden pour, white head. Nose is light funk, leathery notes, tropical fruits and citrus zest. Taste is moderately tart and funky, with nice tropical fruity and zesty undertones. Light to moderate bitterness is present with a long lasting finish. Light to medium bodied with soft to average carbonation. Tasty, with a superb balance.

Tap at Madkert, courtesy of the crew. Opaque goldenish yellow pour with a white head. Nose is intense, jammy fruits with the peach being the dominant. There’s some apricot, tangy funk and a touch of vanilla too. Taste is funky upfront, showing leathery spicy notes, then quickly takes a fruity turn showing both stonefruits and just a hint of vanilla to round things off. Closes with a fruity, funky finish, has a medium body with average carbo. Nice and round with a great balance.

Tap at MadKert. Ruby pour, no head. Nose is light funk, cherries, berries, leather and that deep, rich spicy touch from the cocoa. Taste is funky, light to moderately sour wit intense fruity, stone fruits and berries, some barnyard, wood. Closes with a funky, sour, fruity finish, has a light body and soft to average carbo. Fun.

Bottle at home, courtesy of the MS crew. Opaque reddish orangeish pour with a quickly dissipating head. Nose is tomato, celery, pepper, but also acetic acid, light funk, leather and oak. Taste is heavy on the tomato, with additional hints of celery but also there's a wild beer in there with prominent acidic notes and funk. The finish is peppery and spicy, rounding the sip nicely. This is a fun idea executed well, and I don't even like tomato.

Tap at Madhouse. Opaque golden pour with a white head. Nose is fruity esters, funk, stonefruits and a vague touch of vanilla. Taste is fruity upfront, both apricot and peach come through, with hints of esters, funky notes some vanilla and oak. Fruity and somewhat sweet first then it turns sour and acidic and closes with a dry finish. Perhaps not as fruity as the previous batch was but it seems to show more esters to me. Not bad by far, but the previous vintage did blow my mind.

From tap at Van Moll Fest 2021. As Mad Scientist Funk 2021. Rather sour and funky with lacto sourness, herbal notes, and lemon. Medium body.

Bottle@Zinc Craftbar, Vaasa. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is funk, some spicy and yeasty tones with mild tartness as well as some fruity and mild earthy tones. Flavour is sour fruits, some funk, mild tart wood as well as some acidic and vinegary tones with some mild sweetness and mild yeasty tones to it. Surprisingly messy for being Mad Scientist.
