50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight breadish. Mild acidic, dark roasted and malty breadish flavoured. Lingering dark malty and slight breadish into a dry and slight bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours black with an orange hue and a rough off-white head. Some hard roast and tar in the nose. Solid body, carbonation is a little low, heavy roast and licorice with some phenols. Hard roast finish. A typical British Imperial Stout. 180311

Bottle at Mes Tasting. Dark brown pour with a few bubbles for a head. Roasty aroma with some dark sugars. Lightly sour malts, mild sweetness, faint coffee. Light bodied and a bit flat. More mild sour malts and subtle roast to finish. Not too good.

Bottle 500ml.Clear dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, wheat, cold coffee, malt, light smoke, light licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet, light acidic and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, coal, overriped fruit, berries, licorice notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110102]

Bottle at home shared with Lyoli. Cloudy amber pour with a weak, white head. Strong caramel and toffee notes in the aroma. Interesting flavor, pretty sweet, bready, nutty, some prunes maybe, and leafy bitters. Medium in body with average, fizzy carbonation. Finish is kinda weird too. Not bad, but has some uncommon characteristics. More bread and nuts with some fruits and caramel. Decent.

Bottle at NWAF, Manchester 21.01.11 Pours amber with just a hint of haze. Medium carbonation, soft in the mouth but plenty of bitterness, touch boozy, but clean and tasty, great beer. A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

Cask gravity at Colchester BF 2011. Darkish almost black. No real head. Some choc on aroma. Its got some sour dark cherry to it. Some cereal on the aroma. Its decent and has some interesting dark fruit sourness. Its a decent beer.

2005 Vinatge. Cloudy chocolate brown beer. Dry and crisp. Anything like beer tastes are totally dominated by cinnamon and ginger. Just a little smooth chocolatey malt hiding away in the background. Just about drinkable but makes the all too common Xmas beer mistake of being heavily overspiced.
