500ml bottle: BBD 2nd Jun 15. Obtained from Cotteridge Wines and opened at home on 2nd Feb 15: poured into a straight sided UK pint sleeve (Forster’s badged). Looked good, clear, bright, clean and golden, on top a deep full white blanket of tight bubbles, carbonation bubbles rising through the body. Sweet and fairly grainy, grass notes in aroma and taste, slightly bitter finish. I liked it, even if it was a little one dimensional in flavour and interest. Sharp, crisp and refreshing, like a beer in this style should be.

Bottle (now made by Kaiser/Neuhaus): Pale golden with a greenish sheen, clear, loose and quickly collapsing White head; sweetish-grainy nose; mainly sweetish flavour, sticky MF, nearly medium bodied; short sweet and grainy finish. A sweet and monotonous brew, not a pleasure...

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines and drunk at home. Hazy cloudy paleish gold lasting ivory thick head. Some esters on aroma. Some banana, some lemon. A little bit of spice. Some hop on the finish. It’s a lightish banana lemon hefe. Decent.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines and drunk at home. Clear pale gold lasting white head. It’s an ok helles/pils. Some lemon some hop on the finish. Reminds me of how lager used to smell when I was a teenager. It’s fine. Some bite on the finish. I quite liked it. First beer of the evening and quite refreshing.
