Description
Legend Brewing Company is a commercial microbrewery providing true premium beers to many of the best pubs and restaurants in Richmond and other areas of Virginia since January, 1994. Our mission is to bring to our customers the finest and freshest brews as flavorful alternatives to mass-marketed mainstream products. We're one of the few craft breweries in this region producing both lagers and ales, which require different yeasts and maturation conditions. All Legend beers are unpasteurized and made from only two-row and specialty barley malt, hops, water and yeast.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy, tart and chalky with notes of citric acid and Sweettart candies. The flavor was bitter, tart and chalky with notes of Sweettart candies, orange, peach, pepper and touches of nut, bread and butterscotch. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Not quite so legendary. Pours clear brown with some fizzy initial head and not much lacing. Mostly just some light hops here, can’t get much of a sense of the malt here. Finishes with light sweetness. Tap at Big Board.
