Description
Pelican Brewing Company was born at the beach in Pacific City in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. And now twenty years later, older, and wiser, Pelican Brewing Company is a craft beer industry leader with fans throughout the Northwest and around the world. Today we’ve taken our breweries and our values to other Oregon coastal towns where we wake up each day in a place that reminds us that amazing is possible. Cheers fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets.

12oz bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is great big coffee roast malts and some chocolate. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate rich roast malts and a hit of coffee.

Had this forever ago, never rated it I guess. Pale amber, decent bitterness and a biscuity malt note. Well balanced.

Amber. Just a slight haze. Thick head. Big weedy nose with a bit of pine and a fresh crystal malt (40-60L) note. Similar palate, robust bitterness, pine, orange, sage, again an excellent malt character as well. Nothing but net.

0,33l bottle from J&B Craft Drinks online store. Bbe 02.08.17, 2016 vintage. Almost black beer with quite small, totally vanishing head. Aroma has malts, roasted notes, caramel and some coffee. Flavor follows. Malty, quite sweet and smooth, some coffee but more like Coca Cola.
