Description
Defying the odds isn’t just what we do, it’s a part of our DNA. We were founded by a woman in 1867. Lived through two wars. Survived a fire. Overcame the Halifax Explosion. Competed as an independent company against breweries 100 times our size. We haven’t just survived - we’ve thrived. And while others back down, we outlast. Moosehead Breweries Limited is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians. The brewery is located in Saint John, New Brunswick and operates with values that have been safely guarded by the same family for 148 years. Despite obstacles – devastating fires, Prohibition, the Great Depression, two world wars, obstructive trade barriers, and bruising competition from breweries 100 times its size – Moosehead is one of the most durable and long lasting companies in Canada. Ultimately it has been the Oland family’s passion for beer that has enabled them to be successful over the long term. With their product on beer shelves from the Maritimes to B.C., and its flagship Moosehead Lager shipped to approximately 350 distributors in the U.S.; Moosehead has become an iconic mainstay in North America’s beer industry

Can from the LCBO. This smells like a bad idea. Nothing but a BLAST of raspberry flavouring. This is their cracked cane light beer with a ton of fake candy syrup/flavouring added. Cloyingly sweet, so sweet in fact it hurt my teeth. Drain pour.

Can from the LCBO.
Pours a murky reddish pink, with a small white head. Aroma is fake cherry, light citrus, and watery base beer. Soft carb, watery mouth feel, quite sweet. Meh, adult juice.

Can from the LCBO.
Nice fresh minty aroma, with some soft cucumber. Nothing crazy, the base beer is burried, and probably for the best. Refreshing, ends with an odd sweetness though, likely from the cheap base beer. Not awful, but not great.

Hazy yellow, small white head. Slightest nose of citrus, light cereals. Low bitterness, crisp, and light mouth feel. Light citrus, hints of mint, and pale malts. It's pretty basic, not terrible, not great.

Can from the LCBO. Red pour, no head. Aroma is cranberry juice, and thats it. No semblance of anything beer related in here at all. MOuth feel is watery, and very thin, carb is almost no exisatnt. Finish is sweet, with a light twang, and just a blast of cranberry juice. ummm, no.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a hazy, dull yellow, with a large white head. Aroma is dull citrus, and a tart vegetalness i'm assuming in rhubarb. Its not offensive, but its quite muddled, and tough to pick stuff out. Mouth feel is standard, with a good carb. The finsih is again muddy, and pretty messy. Soft sweetness, light citrus, and i'm getting hints of rhubarb, but the strawberry is just lost in random fruitness. This isnt awful, i'm actually quite surprised this was drinakble. Better than expected.

Can from the lcbo. Slightly hazy Copper pour, with a nice, sticky white head. Aroma is quite crackery, light pine, hints if fruity sweetness, and some pale cereals. Mouth feel, and carb are quite nice. Low to medium bitterness, crackery, wet paper finish, with hints of fruit. Meh.

Can from the lcbo. Huge grapefruit aroma, with loads of sweet grape juice also, and no beer to be found. Lively carb, and mouth feel. Finish is quite sweet, more grape juice with a grapefruit twang in the end. This surprised me indeed! If they cut the sweetness this would be impressive. Not bad though, really surprised me. Its juice for sure, but wow, its tasty. --- Beer merged from original tick of Moosehead Grapefruit Radler on 28 Feb 2025 at 06:45 - Score: Appearance - 2 | Aroma - 2 | Flavor - 2 | Texture - 2 | Overall - 1. Watery, thin, light corn, faint hop extract, inoffensive, drinkable macro lager, perfect lawnmower beer.
