Slightly sweet flavour, watery mouthfeel with a slightly sharp carbonation. Slim pale malty base, close to mineral water with a very shy grainy touch; slim and slightly fizzy finish with an almost completely lack of bitterness. 16.III.12

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with minimal white head. Aroma of grain and skunk. Taste is light bitter. Grains, skunk and a little hops. Light bodied with a thin texture. Relatively fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not the worst beer I’ve had, but not the best by far either.

This light version of the James Ready pours a very pale yellow colour with a big frothy white head that stays longer than expected, and lacing is pretty good. Smell reeks of bad grain, perfume and some citrus lemony aromas that help out the situation. The taste is not as bad, just corn, and quite light. The scent gets a bit better, as it turns to mild corn after a while. Refreshing enough for a light beer, and very inexpensive for a 24-pack (only size it comes). Only meant to drink from the bottle though.

341ml bottle. Pale clear golden colour with small fading white head. Grainy aroma, bread, a touch of lemon. Taste is limited to a sweet and a citrus note, watery, monotonous.

350ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with huge foamy white head. Grainy, soapy, slightly spicy aroma. Watery taste on the edge to soapiness, sourness, dryness. Nothing really developed, no displeasing facet.

The Beer Store six-pack: Pours an extremely pale color with an extremely weak head. Aroma is pale lager. Taste is minimal, and at the end of the day, not really that bad. I would rather drink this piss than something like Keystone Ice.

Originally rated June 2005. Oh yeah... got the skunk after the twist (green bottle). Colour is golden lager with a white head that dissipates fast. Not much lacing left. Smells malty, but bitter at the same time. Mouthfeel is smooth and taste as well. Slight grain in the finish. Says "Canada’s oldest indepedent brewery" on the label. Refreshing lager, that’s about it.

Bottle thanks to Sarah. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma is full of corn and stale sweet grains with a hint of wet bread. Flavor has a sweet corn note backed by sweet wheat and wet hay.
