500ml bottle. Pours orange gold with a tight medium head. Aroma is faint bready malt. Bready malt throughout. Dry, strong bitter finish. Full in the mouth for it’s strength.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 27 Nov 2010) Dark ruby colour, leaning in the mahogany direction, with brief off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, raisins and dark bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dark bread, caramel, raisins and a dry finish with a mild bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Nice one.

Bottle. Says its served best near the source (then why did you send it to another continent?). Pours with a clear, rich golden color with a white head that slowly fades. Aroma is a bit skunky and grassy. Some flowery notes as well. Baked biscuit, vanilla and caramel. I can easily imagine that this would be better closer to the brewery. Flavor is bready, slightly sweet and slightly bland, maybe even stale. Estery. Easy to drink. Lively bubbles. LIngering breadiness. Bland.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, small off-white head; flowery-piney nose; light to medium bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; piney-fruity and hoppy finish, lingering bitter aftertaste. Very good.......

Bottle, kindly shared by gunnar. ABV is 4.2%. Deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of malts and toffee, hints of berries. The flavour has moderate malts, toffee, biscuits and nuts. Decent Challenger hops in the finish.

Bottle: Deep golden, a bit hazy, bigger rocky off-white head, stable and sticking to the glass; moderate to almost solid piney-hoppy nose with a slight malty and fruity background; dry bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, quite smooth MF; distinctive, almost tart, hoppy and (dark?) malty finish. A bit "bony", but all in all a well crafted brew.....

Cask, brewpub. Dark brown with a thin head. Oaty, milk chocolatey aroma is pretty appetizing. Chocolate palate with mellow nutty coffee notes. Slightly acidity at the back cuts what is otherwise a creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle @ the brewpub. Golden-amber. Very fruity aromas with marzipan, blueberry and maybe some light alcohol. Sweet, very fruity, almost candyish but not quite. Some acidity late, lactic maybe, just enough. Only limited hop bitterness.

Golden with a thick creamy head. Mild hop aroma. Sweetish character, vague biscuity malt. Really not getting the 36 IBUs at all. Vague minerals in the finish, but that finish is still sweet caramel and hint of biscuity malt.
