Amber-brown. Toffee-caramel nose - a touch of butter? Soft, light toffee character. Finishes a little bit weak, actually.

Keg @ the brewpub. Colour. No aroma to speak of. Ok, maybe a vague touch of continental hops. Light continental hop character, mild bitterness and some vaguely boozy malt.

Cask @ brewpub. Golden-straw colour. Not much aroma. Straw malt character, a little bit biscuity but with some mushroomy hop finisih. Fairly straightforward.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, small off-white head; distinctive flowery-piney nose, light to medium bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; fruity and piney-hoppy finish, lingering bitter aftertaste. The real thing.....
