Copper color, big long lasting frothy head. Malty, slightly hoppy aroma with boiled milk. Hopbitter flavor with chichory, melon and boiled milk. Full of flavor, but not clean, and logically below average.

"Wagner Bräu Pilsner", Flasche von der Brauerei. - Goldgelb, klar; sparsame Schaumbildung. Mild rezent, etwas laff. Im Abgang derbe krautig-zitrusfruchtige, leicht ranzige Bittere. Ruppig-metallischer Nachtrunk. - Schlichtes, eindimensional säuerlich-zitronig-herbes Pilsener. Im fränkischen Vergleich nur unterer Durchschnitt.

Als “Kellerbier“ auf dem Hannla-Keller bei Oberhaid. - Im Steinkrug serviert. - In der Nase frischer zitrusfruchtiger Hopfen, leichte Butter (Diacetyl), schnapsige Züge. - Im Antrunk schlanke, blaß herbe Zitronenschale. Leicht strohiges helles Malz. Im Abgang mehr Zitronenschale und ein deutlicher, leicht scharfer Anflug von Spülmittel - entweder schlecht gehopft oder im schlecht gespülten Krug serviert. Schroff bitterer Nachtrunk. - Trinkbar aber kein Genuß. Der Blick vom Keller entschädigt dafür ...

(bottle, bought at the brewpub) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a blond and short foamy layer. Sweet and juicy malty aroma with notes of caramel and dms. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Slightly nutty cara-malty taste with a whiff of herbal hoppy spice; sweet-bitter and slightly sticky finish with caramel and nutty notes. Without infection but they seem to have problems with the capping. 16.VIII.16

Euro2-Flasche: Light amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized off-white head with a little lace; mild to moderate caramelly and grainy-toasty nose with slight bitterness underneath and the first delicate sourish traces of infection; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 6.0 % and not very soft; shorter and drier bitter-sweet finish with a tart aftertaste. Drinkable, but pretty disappointing…
