Lager...What more can you say, bland, but goes down easy. Fairly tasty, quenching, slick body, extremely drinkable.

very light, not very bitter. Pale golden with thick, fluffy head, very grainy. Slick, smooth and creamy, flat, abrupt finish.

375ml bottle into pint glass. Bit disturbing to find a slightly skunked thing going on here, but there it is. It disappears to be replaced by a mild chocolate nose. Looks right, black as pitch with average tan coloured head. Quite thin body with a bit of zing on the tongue. Finish is astringent and vegetal, then raw coffee takes over. Finally a little touch of sweet chocolate arrives. Not recommended.

Can, 0.375l. Clear golden color with medium frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of grainy malt, grass and vegetables. Clean and bland lager taste with grainy, grassy and vegetably notes, crisp and dry mouthfeel with light bitter finish. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. This draught is good only in drought :)

Poured a pale yellow with a disappearing head. Watery and bland. Boring neverthe less.

(Bottle) Very different from what I am used to from a tap in the old country; in fact I would not have known what it was if it were not for the label on the bottle! Pours clear very dark red brown, looking very much like coca cola, except for the cream colorued head which is fairly dense and long lasting, but not like the real thing. Even so, it is a good looking beer. The aroma is subtle but pleasant, mostly toasty malt. Palate is quite creamy from the carbonation and in part from a medium body. Taste is ok but again a bit of a disappointment compared to real Guiness from a tap. Some dark toffee bitter sweet malt flavours give way to a pleasant and long lasting bitter finish with burnt notes. Overall it is a bit one dimensional, lacking any complexity. It suffers from comparison with a proper Guinness. However, trying to be objective, it is really quite drinkable.

From a 375ml bottle on 1/12/2010. Has a modest roasted malt aroma, with a little coffee. The flavour is more roasted malt with an assertive lemon sour/bitter finish, which is actually a little harsh. Not a lot of sweetness is evident. Not a patch on Coopers Best Extra Stout.

Pours black with a large, persistent, rocky, light-tan head.Nose shows a fair bit of chocolaty roasted malt along with a load of sweet caramel and some light fruity hops.Flavours are quite potent, with loads of roasted barley becoming almost burnt. Later on some burnt caramel shows, with a long roasty bitterness finishing it up.Body seems too watery for flavours.
