This is a pleasant enough beer but it suffers from not having one strong flavour. There’s a malty, sweet aspect with a bitter, hoppy edge but nothing really stands out. It could have been great if it wasn’t trying to do a bit of everything.

500ml bottle at 5.5%. Pours dark gold with a large head. Aroma is mango puree and banana. Taste has mango puree to start and a mango and grassy medium bitter finish.

Hazy blond colour. Aromatic lemony, zesty wheat aroma. Clean, fresh lemony citrus. Very easy to drink.

Cask at the Claude De Val (JDW), Camberley - 18/08/12. Pours a slightly obscured copper/orange with a very thin white head. Strong malts on the nose and a little orange. Strong malty taste as per the nose and a background of citrus fruit orange and grapefruit predominating and a little toffee/butter. Light to medium body - easy drinking not bad.

Deep copper colour. Flavour has nice rounded malty feel and also a touch of fresh hop. Smooth, creamy texture.

Has a malty aroma with light smokiness. Texture is really smooth and creamy. Flavour has a lightly burnt, bitter malt taste and later some smoke. Dry, thirst quenching finish.

Amber color, with small but persistent creamy head. Simple Bitter, with some acidity in the aroma, and a dusty flavor.
