Bottle...light amber color..smells like a Charleston chew tastes...light caramel (sweet malt)...just a yummy scent....slight lacing and a nutty flavor....creamy...a nice everyday in a winter style..balanced very well..."when this beer grows up it wants to be like stille nacht"

440ml can from Sainsbury’s because they were selling off single cans for 58 pence each. Clear copper colour, lasting beige head. This was one of the first bitters I drank all those years ago. Not to many high hopes on opening this. Bit of creaminess on aroma. Faint hop, but not much else. Fine, but thin in the mouth. Some bitterness on the end, but no real character. Dull.

Bottle. Amber color with a average and lasting white head. Fruity aroma, malt and some hops. Full body, creamy texture. Finish is rather bitter.

Is this Sam Adams...no it’s Sam Whitbread. I purchased this by mistake thinking I was buying a Mackeson white wheat beer. Well, if Mackeson ain’t Sam Adams then I guess Whitbread ain’t Sam Adams, even tho they are all the boston beer company ( as opposed to brooklyn?) Slightly darker than your typical pale yellow american beer style but has a similar taste and finish. I was expecting something more bitter but was pleasantly surprised. Buy yuengling traditional lager for much less cash and be happy! Will not buy again.

Bottle. copper with a white head. Flavor is not as good as I expected, as I expected a slightly more hoppy flavor, but got a more malty flavor instead.

Bottle: Amber coloured, mid-sized lasting froth; malty nose with a faint tinge of herbal hops; initial slightly sweetish malty taste; shy (and not moderate !) bitter flavour; mild malty and maybe fruity finish with a nearly not existing hoppy aftertaste. Mild and pretty boring !

Pour is a nice dark brown with a big white head. Aroma is a nice mix of oily hops. Flavor is where this falls a bit flat. If your looking for a great hop flavor like SNPA well you looking in the wrong place. Its more of a bready and nutty mix and even that is not real great. Its does have it quallities, in the aroma, and i could try it again to see if I am being to hard on this brew.

$1.49 for a 12-oz single. Deep dark copper, small head. Smells bready & toasty. Flavor is malts and caramel. Nice in the mouth.

[Bottle at Wenlock Arms, London] An amber beer with a small orange head. The nose is very hoppy while the flavor is dry hoppy and a little roasted. Nice without being something special.
