Description
Founder of Dot Brew, Shane Kelly, has made a name for both himself and his brand over the last few years through a keen passion and love for experimentation when it comes to his brews, most notably in the form of barrel ageing and hybrid styles. The Dublin based brewer has carved out quite a niche, developing a unique style and approach which has helped put Dot Brew at the forefront of the Irish Craft Beer scene. While the beers are brewed in various microbreweries in and around Dublin, they are then brought home to Dolphin’s Barn. The site is home to about 50 barrels in a small warehouse which Kelly refers to as his ‘spice rack’, with casks ranging from French oak, Mexican tequila and American bourbon, to name but a few.

Can from the brewery. Cloudy yellow with a solid white head. Aroma is some New Zealand fruit I never smelt before. Flavour is perfume fruits, tangy spicy base, yeast citrus finish.

Can from the brewery. Deep gold with a medium head. Aroma of rich oats hop. Flavour is soft red berry bitter hop, chewy oats, sticky bitter finish.

Can from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours murky golden orange with a thin white head. Aromas of mango and light grapefruit. Taste is stone fruit, light spice and citrus. Velvety texture, light sweet finish.

Jet black with a tan head. Aroma is a mixture of warm barrels. Flavour is warm vanilla, chocolate, rum sodomy and the lash. Bitter fruit chocolate finish.

44 cl. can shared with Hilde @ home, bought @ Kulenborgse Bierhandel. Hazy orange with a white head. Tropical fruit aroma. Sweet taste with a hoppy low-bitter finish. Very nice NEIPA
