Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

Taste is stewed hops, pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel, mango, hoppy fruit, tropical fruity sweetness at the end. Some herbal and grassy notes. Smooth with a lengthy fruity finish.

Draught keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate. Light yellow gold, cloudy with a small swirl of white head. White grape, grapefruit, slight woody notes, maybe spruce or even pine. The taste is a revelation: sweet with a woody and almost herbal character dancing with the hops, followed by an intense herbal character. Bitterness in the finish. Wow. Very bitter in the final flourish. Medium body and carbonation. Soooo good.

Annual Putty rate... 9th iteration, thanks to Neal for the can, procured from their webshop I believe.
440ml can. Murky almost opaque golden with a white head. Aroma of fresh mango, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, herbal. Taste is the same, juicy fresh mango and pineapple, grapefruit, peach, herbal and dank with a hint of savoury, hop bitterness to finish. Medium-full bodied. Excellent.
Even if it's not the best ever Putty I think this year's might be closest to the original in terms of taste when I compare to my old notes. Certainly got a nice nostalgia hit drinking this one. Wonderful stuff.
