Auch bei diesem Bier ist es schon eine Zeitlang her, dass ich es getrunken habe. Inzwischen wird es auch nicht mehr gebraut. Es war nicht nur eine interessante Neuerung, sondern erfreute auch mit tollen schokoladigen Stout als auch schweren Schwarzbiertönen. Dazu ein Schuss Pumpernickel und Cornflakes. Ein schweres intensives Bier mit ordentlich Tiefgang.

Bottled (gusher alert!). Amber colour, huge fluffy slightly off-white head. Aroma is bready, some herbal and floral notes along with mild wood and resin. Flavour is bready and mild caramel malty notes with a good crispiness to it. Also some grass, herbs and mild floral notes in the finish.

Bottle, 330 ml at Fassldippler. Shared with JFK10000. Pours orange with medium off-white head. Great fruity aroma. Caramel malt, tropical fruit, hops, dry and bitter finish. Very drinkable. Light to medium bodied.

Fruchtiger süßer Geruch, hopfig, rund. Trocken hopfiger, süß fruchtig-zitroniger Beginn. Spritzig rund, dabei sehr weich, steigend Zitrus. Grasig, vergleichsweise wenig herb. Gut. 12/11/12/11//12

Deep orange-copper color with big white head. Aroma is piney, grapefruit, malt snacks and cereal, broccoli. The beautiful pineyness fades away quickly. Taste is piney, malty, quite a residual sweetness. Bittersweet finish, but more sweet than bitter. Ambitious, and to some extent, it works out great, even reminds me of my favourite of the style, Alesmith, but in other aspects, it doesn?t work out perfectly. Still surprisingly good for an Austrian IPA!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. Dark brown. Aroma of hazelnuts, toast, caramel, vegetal note. Sweetish flavor with light sourness, toast, nuts, caramel, a bit of fruitiness. Medium-bodied.
