A bit unusual color. More orange than golden. Ok intensity in the aroma. I just did not fancy it to much. Medium to full body. Oily texture and a bit dry texture. Lots of apple in the flavor. Also fruity and some spices. Some alcohol coming up.

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden, oily fluid without any head or carbonation. The aroma has a citrusy touch, with flowers, yellow apples and surprisingly low levels of honey. Rather alcoholic for its 13% ABV, both in the nose and the mouth, but at least the alcohol aroma softens after some time in the glass. It’s fruity and quite citrusy on the palate, full-bodied, semi-sweet and warming, with some yellow apples and rosehips. Lasting honey-sweet and apple-like finish with a pleasant bitterness. I prefer my meads with more focus on the honey, but this is a fine mead anyway. 141123

Pours clear pale yellow with no head. Aroma has notes of glue, alcohol and pear. Taste is medium sweet with a long warm, boozy, apple, pear and slightly citrus finish. Body is full, texture is oily and no carbonation.
