Das "Gold" mit dem deutschen 🐕 Namen ist eigentlich ein dunkler Bock 🐏.
Als solcher ist er nur im 0,4l-Glas zu haben und erfreut durch eine trübe Berndsteinfarbe.
Er ist sehr schwer und malzig 🥞, weshalb man sich schon darauf einlassen muss.
Man bekommt solide Stimmen und einen runden Körper, mir war er aber etwas zu hart.

Kurz vor Weihnachten 2025 gibt sich eine kurze Reise nach Brünn aus. Da ging es mal wieder ins Pegas, wo ich das letzte Mal vor vielen Jahren mit einer Studentengruppe war und man uns übers Ohr 👂 gehauen hatte.
Das Weizen kommt schön in der Tulpe 🌷 mit Zitronenscheibe 🍋 drinnen.
Es ist ein recht leichtes Bier mit den klassischen, fruchtigen Noten, die aber auch nicht zu intensiv sind.
Es passt sehr gut zum fettigen Essen 🍗🍟 und ist nett erfrischend. Viel mehr ist es aber auch nicht.

Med-full bod, light diacetyl, med-light candyish caramel. Med carbo. Med-high bitterness, med-light sweetness. Moderate citrusy, light piney, grassy, earthy hops. Fits the style nicely, minus the diacetyl. Still good though, even if not my fav.

Tap at the brewpub with Per. Lightly hazy brownish dark amber body, beige head. Brown sugar and acetaldehyde in the aroma. Soft smooth honeyish taste, low caramel, alcohol, sub par mead vibes, but a bit more caramelly/nutty. Nah.

Keg at Pegas, Brno. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Aroma of grapefruit and pineapple. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with pineapple and mango. Mid bitter finish.

Keg at Pegas, Brno. Black, beige head. Aroma of coffee, caramel and butter. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, butterscotch and coffee. Medium bitterness.

Tap at the brewpub with Per. Hazy dark amber body, off-white head. Caramelly, vaguely floral aroma, light esters. Flat, soft taste, clean yeastiness, caramel, some estery stone fruit, herbal and citric hoppy notes, bitterish finish. Not too American at first sip but the hoppiness does come out. Solid nuff!

Tap at the brewpub with Per. Hazy yellow-golden, white head, a slice of lemon floating... Yay....Decent clove kick breaking through the lemon though. Smooth, soft, wheaty taste, low cloves, vague vanilla and lemon. Decent, clean, needs better temperature control to get those esters and phenols out, but does its job fine!

Keg at Pegas, Brno. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Caramelly nose. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Bold caramel, slight cocoa. Mid bitter finish.

Tap at the brewpub with Per. Hazy dark brown body, lasting thick off-white head. Raisins and light cocoa in the aroma. Soft smooth taste, low raisin and cocoa, chocolate even, pleasant! Maybe their best?
