On tap at Devil Craft Kanda, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is extremely rich, with big bourbon barrels, some vanilla, and plenty of raspberry. Flavour is robust yet not too brutal, with intense raspberry upfront that melds with the roasted malt, light vanilla, and barely any bourbon. Juicy raspberry marries the roasted malt to perfection. Excellent.

16 ounce can. Cloudy orange pour. Frothy beige head. Mild, fruity malt nose hints at peach and apricot. Flavor is sweet stone fruit. Peach, apricot and a hint of nectarine. Some estery yeastiness. An interesting take on the classic Belgian Tripel style. A bit of peppery spice in the finish.

12 ounce can. Orange gold pour. Frothy beige head. Tangy, tropical fruit aroma. Flavor is sweet citrus, mango, tangerine and apricot. Excessively sweet, almost artificially derived flavors. Sticky mouthfeel. Cloyingly sweet finish.

2 for $6at Kroger, so got one of each. Stovepipe can. Hazy golden-orange with floaties (the regular version didn't have that), and a giant white head that spills over the side of my glass. Nose is somewhat tropical, cigarette ash (it's not my fingers), mango, tangerine. Taste is tangerine, green tropical fruit, tropical fruit flavored tums... as with the non-tropical version: it's fine. But I'm a bit annoyed that they took just an OK beer and decided to go with a variant.

Draft: Poured an unclear golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is juicy hops, citrus, fruity. Taste is bitter hops, juicy, citrus, grapefruit, coconut, tropical, pineapple acidic, lingers lively.
