On tap at Tap East. Clear gold beer, short bubbly white head. Smooth semi dry palate. Mildly resinous hops, fair bit of mild marmalade, trace of tea. Semi dry finish. Mild bitter linger. Decent but I think I have had this beer before and it was better....

Cask at Pigs Ear. Clear brown beer, no real head. Good malt base. Light dry hops. A little citrus, a little pine. Nice but finish is pretty dry.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Clear dark amber beer, little bubbly white head. Light dry palate. Sweet fruits - generic candy but also slightly tart. Peach, lemon and tangerine. Semi dry finish. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear amber beer, tiny white head. Light dry palate. Nice hops! Mild but fresh and vibrant (so a nice change from the Spoons fest beers). Floral with light lime marmalade and a trace of tropical fruits. Finishes with minerals and the hops turning slightly more bitter. Decent and drinkable.

Cask, handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, in company of Peter Fowler 28.03.12 Pours brown slight haze, small white head. Very good bitter, nicely citrus, Peter reckoned grassy and a little sileage but I didn’t get that, however I did get a good pushy lemony flavour underpinning a decent malty standard bitter, thoroughly enjoyed this and would happily session on this beer. A6 A3 T8 P4 Ov14 3.5

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2011. East london pigs ear special blend 4.3%. browny red lasting beige head. Citrusy brown bitter. Fine. Good condition. Some toffee. Fair hit of bitter citrusy hop. Maybe a bit of toast on swallow. Maybe a touch too bitter. Fine. 3.4/5

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Clear nut brown. Roasty and bready. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mostlyh about bready malt, faint salty bitterness.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2011, London. Pours clear, rich brown with a moderate, creamy head. Semi-dark malt aroma, some toast and caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor, some toast, caramel, mild herbal bitterness, faint leaves. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Toasty sugar to finish, light bread, slight earthiness. Solid if basic.

From tap at the Rake. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild toasted malty and caramelish. Light fruity, caramelish and bitter hoppy. Mild citrusy and bitter dry finish.
