F: big, white, long lasting. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malty, pineapple, mango, passion fruits, tangerine, orange, bit pine. T: light malty backbone, orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, pine resin touch, more on the sweet side yet nice fresh fruity, medium body and carbonation, ok for the style almost great for sure, 33cl bottle from Bruges Beer Festival 2019 day 2.

33cl bottle. A clear dark reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark moderate roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, cookies. Taste of dark roasted malt, coffee, cookies, caramel, chocolate. Quite nice!

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma and light yeasty notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

16th May 2018, 33cl bottle inside Bier Paleis, Brugge. Light haze to the golden body, white blanket of foam on top. Citrus lead to the aroma, mild spicy and yeasty back up to the brew, which starts off semi-sweet in the mouth, before a little citrus bitterness takes over.

17-05-18 // bottle bought at Petit Belge Wiesbaden. Unfiltered golden. Foamy white head. Nose is mild hoppy. Dry malty, typical belgian ipa with a yeasty spicyness. Citrus and grapefruit bitter And even some floral touches. Quite high carbo. Pours cloudy black with a lasting, small, frothy, tan head. The aroma contains roasted malt, dark fruits, fruity hops, hint of dark chocolate, caramel, coffee roast, sweet tobacco. It tastes light chocolatey sweet and light to medium roasted bitter with more coffee and malty tones; dry, toasty, bit hoppy finish. Medium body, slick, somewhat thin, texture, soft to fizzy carbonation. Very drinkable Stout, though a bit underwhelming.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a nice balance of roasted bitter malts with some coffee. Also a fresh hop bitterness. Very full flavoured and easy to drink.

J'apprécie toujours ces IPA racées, à l'amertume franche sans être agressive et avec juste ce qu'il faut de base maltée en accompagnement pour lui donner de l'ampleur. Et pourtant avec 45 d'IBU, nous ne sommes pas à des niveaux exceptionnels. Mais avec un houblonnage intelligent, à cru je suppose et un sucre très bien dosé, on peut faire de très belles choses. Avec une palette aromatique légèrement plus développée, j'aurais été aux anges. Niveau présentation rien à redire de surcroît, blond parfaitement limpide (EBC de 15) surmonté d'une mousse blanche et crémeuse de 3 cm. Le nez est racé, herbacé, sur une belle amertume aux notes d'agrumes et finement épicée. On retrouve cette amertume bien marquée, franche et herbacée à l'attaque. La base aromatique présente avant tout des arômes d'agrumes avec une présence légère de fruits exotiques et d'épices. La deuxième bouche monte d'un cran sur l'amertume avec le pamplemousse qui prend les devants. agrémenté d'épices. L'arrière bouche, d'une bonne ampleur et plus complexe est sur un très bon équilibre malt/houblon. On y retrouve davantage de fruits, toujours sur les agrumes renforcés légèrement par des fruits exotiques. La troisième bouche est alors sur une belle amertume herbacée avec un ressenti légèrement supérieur aux 45 d'IBU. Le final, laissant une bonne amertume en bouche, redescend toutefois d'intensité sur un ressenti légèrement astringent. Objectif atteint pour une bière très plaisante faisant la part belle à l'amertume.
