Description
Demory was founded in 1827, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, at 10 rue Broca. Demory ceased to exist in the early 1950s. Demory Paris reopened its brewery in 2009! A small team of beer enthusiasts took over. In 2010, their first beer was brewed. Today the brasserie is no longer in the 5th arrondissement, but in Bobigny, at 1 rue de Paris.

Deep ruby color, small brownish head. Light caramel and malts in the weak nose. Light to medium bodied. Clean mouthfeel but quite watery palate. Light caramel, light toasted notes. Perhaps ok with some food, clean but quite uninspiring. Still better than expected from French Schwarzbier.

Bottle 330ml (K-Kamppi)
Clear golden color, small steady white head. Grainy, a bit fruity and rubbery aroma. Light-bodied. Spicey Saaz-hoppyness, sweetish maltyness, slightly grainy and even a bit buttery. Quite Czechish pils. Crisp and quite nice, especially for being French.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #3: BBE 02.06.2015
Aroma is odd and messy with hayish roastiness and molasses. Flavour has milk chocolate, metal, hay, minerals, distant syrupy tones and hints of molasses. Also quite strong cardboardy tones with hints of spices after some sips. Finishes with herbal hops and grass. Not that good, too much metal and cardboard here.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%, 27 IBU. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, moderate to low white head. Sweetish aroma with grassy notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. Grainy flavour, quite dry, with noticeable bittering hops and a slightly metallic finish. Not my kind of beer. Isn’t this supposed to be some kind of craft brew? I’d rather have a Kronenbourg 1664!
