Box @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, as ’Knight’s Malvern Myst’ cider. Pours a misty pale yellow, fairly light on the palate with a soothing, mild acidic sourness. Nice apple fruit presence. Decent.

BIAB at Tanners Hall Darlington JDW 2017 cider fest. Hazy yellow gold colour, no head and tangy apple aroma. Taste is fruity apple, mellow with some vinegar and funk. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle (back label says its Medium Dry Reserve, from comarket). Pours golden with whiteish head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is sour, cinnamon, apples. Flavor is sweet, sour, apples, some spicy notes, some woody notes. Finish is dry with some alcohol warmth. Carbonation is low. Overall: ok. A bit sweet maybe, but I like the dryness and low carbo combo.

Bag in a box from the Apple Tap, Grantham. A half-shade lighter than garden variety gold. Clear as you like. Smells like vinegar... a bit yuk... but the taste improves. Bitter and sour with that gorgeous scrumpy ’bite’. Short to medium vinous finish. A lovely little cider all in all but not without issues.
