Lots of sweetness, almost smoothie sour but no sourness. Quite nice though… tropical juice

perfumy, off dry, grassy notes. Too sweet and malty for my liking. Meh needs work.

Tap at Craftsman Yokohama. Lager like. Soft. Light hops, biscuity malty not so exciting. Not much to say.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Really strange beer. Very very clear and light blonde colour. Small bubbly white head. Aroma is ultra grainy with a touch of stink, and some citrus. Maybe a bit of white wine too. Tastes like a fresh white baguette initially. Really like a baguette. Wasn't expecting that! Bit further down the breadiness fades and there is a bit more white wine, some malty sweetness and just a touch of fruit. Definitely a bit champagne like. I actually quite like this. Very interesting and definitely the best Happoshu I have had, but maybe got a bit much towards the end. Rerate on tap at Oedo beer fest. Tastes of grape but it's definitely not their grape beer judging by the colour. Quite juice-like and sweet. Not sure. It's quite nice but it probably isn't if you know what I mean. Hints of peach too. Made with rice, but get no hint of that at all.

Pours light yellow white, clear with white foam. Nose has some sweetish grandma’s closet, some ancient rice character. Little spices. taste is quite sweet, full and thick. Feels quite flavourful for that 5%, that potato-rice flavour there, feels even drinkable actually, thought it would be worse.

Tasting set at the Shirokita Park Fest. The Piineapple is a lovely cloudy soft gold. The nose is sweet pineapple juice. It’s got a med-light bodied with a zesty mouthfeel. The flavor is a nice tart pineapple and some biscuit maltiness. Decent, definitely in the vein of japanese "pine beer" cocktails.

Tasting set at the Shirokita Park Fest. Yuki Musibi Ale is crystal clear- even more so than the Pilsner. The nose is a fruity white grape. Med-light bodied with a zesty mouthfeel. The taste is a grainy earthy sweetness highlighting a grape flavor. All in all pretty good but I had no idea what style they were going for.

Tasting set at the Shirokita Park Fest. Pilsner/lager pours a fairly clear watery looking light gold. It has a bit of a sour grainy tart fruity nose. A fairly abrasive carbonation on a light body. The taste is fruity white grape, nice enough but not really a pils. As it warms it gives me some corn notes and a bitting green hop bitterness. Off style but not terrible.

Draught at Craft Beer Festival in Ichinoseki, 2011. Malty aroma with minerals, old milk, and a bit of grass. Stale milk flavor, with dough, butter, and a bit of hops at the finish. Not good. Off all the way.
