Dieses Bier wurde mir schon von meinen rumänischen Freunden aus Târgu Mureș (auf deutsch: Neumarkt am Mieresch) als nicht besonders beschrieben, was aber meine Neugier noch weiter bestärkte. Also kaufte ich mir die bauchige 1l-Plastikflache mit dem peinlich kitschigen Aufdruck der Altstadt von Neumarkt und einem deutsch-rumänischen Beschriftungsmix. In Rumänien gibt man Bieren gerne deutsche Namen, offenbar um ein bisschen von dem guten Ruf der deutschen Brauereien zu profitieren. Gut -als Mitbringsel für einen Bahnhofspenner mag dieses Bier möglicherweise ganz gut passen, für alles andere ist es nicht zu empfehlen.

Dull straw. The aroma has apples, corn, and mossy continental hops. The taste is slightly dry, and a touch hoppy, getting sweeter and more creamed corn notes towards the finish. The more it warmed, the worse it got, with butter emerging late.

Bottle. Clear, golden in color and with a minimal sized white head. Rather buttery nose, with some fruityness. Some hints of dusty cellar too. It’s rather thin on the palate, dry and with flavors of pale malts, grains, fruityness and some bitterness. Some bitterness in the end too. Well, drinkable and all that, but utterly boring and uninteresting. 120516
