Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a large frothy off white head that lasts awhile and leaves behind good sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is floral hops with honey and citrus. Medium bodied with a sweet hop taste with caramel and citrus and a nice smooth finish. Easy to drink and hides the alcohol well. A very good IPA from Michigan Brewing Company.

Bottle. Pours a dark chocolate with a large (3 finger) head that is tan and a little frothy. Aromas are a somewhat weak mix of chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is a better than expected (given past experience) mix of the above with a little bit of a leathery/nutty side to it. This is much fuller than I expected given the previous reviews and my experiences with some of MBC’s products. This is one of their stronger offerings as far as I’m concerned.

Bottle. Pours a transparent and reddish brown with a couple of fingers of beige head. Aromas are decent enough: a mix of nuts, earth, caramel/toffee. Flavor is much better than expected given the ratings. A nice mix of the above aromas with a little bit of a thinness to it, but still, this is good.

Bottle. Pours a medium brown with a thin but dense tan head. Has a fairly compelling nose to it... a bit of a spruce edge to the hoppiness, with a little bit of brown sugar and pineapple. The guy at the brewery called this a Rye IPA, which the aromas seem to back up. Flavor tails off a little bit... there is quite a bit of good things going on, but it lacks a little fullness and every now and again the alcohol peeks through with an unpleasant astringency. Still, that doesn’t seem to happen every sip, and when it doesn’t hit the palate unfortunately, it is very good.

Bomber. Pours a clear and light gold with a little bit of head and aromas of grass. Flavor is a little bit of grass with some cream and a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Still, this is pretty bland and I’m not sure that it is much of a step up from some of the macros. Also, is this a lager?

Bottle. Pours a coppery amber with little head. Aromas are faint and kind of grassy with a little bit of caramel and lemon. Flavor is largely bitter with a little bit of a caramel malt presence, but this is pretty unspectacular.

Bottle. Pours a coppery color with a finger of puffy head. Aromas are pleasant enough... a little bit of floral and grapefruit hops. Flavor is crisp and fresh, with a bit of a bite to it... grapefruit and pine are the main hops presences, and malt is present but could be a little fuller to balance out the biting finish a little better. Still, this is good enough... a bit thin, but decent.
