Can split at L6 tasting, thanks to Kenny, 23/05/19. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is sweet malts, caramel, pastry notes, light spice. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, sweet pastry sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a very limited hop presence. Average fayre but not as bad as the last one.

Taste comprises maple syrup, orange peel, sweet malts, syrupy sweet. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Overly sweet and gloopy … definitely the poorest offering of this debatable series of DIPA's !

Can from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Hazy gold pour with a blink and it's gone white head. Aromas of dessicated coconut, vanilla, citrus. Flavours of cookie dough, more coconut, lots of citrus. Can't discern much almond action though. Interesting brew.

Can. 8.2% beer which the brewer describes as a dipa but hey, Ratebeer knows better eh? Ice Cream IPA? Fucking stupid Ratebeer style crap. Right, enough of Ratebeer lameness, what does it drink like? A hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry with a decent fine minerally crispness. Sweet pale malts, light vanilla and coconut blend well with the light but bright citric orange. Yeah, a modest almond vibe, not dominant here. Mild pine. Light finish. Nice Ice Cream dipa. Think these guys could do a great cherry bakewell dipa. Lay on the El Dorado hops, almond, vanilla and cherry extract. Bobs yer uncle!

Can. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but has a good trailing minerally crispness. Smooth pale malts, a good natural creamy sweetness with a well integrated vanilla. Cream soda and vanilla orange. Modest orange peel bitterness. Little grapefruit. Light vanilla, pine and citrus finish. No obvious marshmallow for me but this is a well integrated and drinkable ice cream dipa..Not that the shoddily thought out Ratebeer style system can cope with what is intended here.

On tap at Randolph Williamsburg. Pours hazy bright gold. Grapefruit, caramel, blueberry, tangerine. Good body. Nice.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was chocolate, graham, pine and citrus. The flavor was chocolate, pine, citrus and was moderately bitter. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Can 1 pint. Pours thick and syrupy with the blackness of motor oil and next to no head. Sweet coconut dominates the aroma - blending in with sweet, sugary roast. Rich, sweet, chocolate roast - heavy on the bitter chocolate. Coconut I get - a lot - rum less so, but I sense the refined sugars, cinnamon also but the pistachios are somewhat lost in this complex blend. 090719
