Description
We produce beautifully balanced beers. We blend the contemporary with the traditional to produce flavoursome craft beers. Check our webshop for the latest releases (UK wide) or swing by our great taproom for beers, food and more.

We produce beers across the spectrum. Our first and core beers will be unashamedly British, but we savour beers from across the world and relish the opportunity to offer our interpretations. Built on a foundation of quality and consistency our beautiful little brewery in Teesdale will be delivering beers across the North East… and beyond.

26/7/2019. Sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours murky orange beige colour white a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, citrus, tropical fruits, passion fruit, biscuit and flowers. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Tried at the Cardinals Hat Lincoln. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma citrus fruity and berry. Taste dry to bitter black tea. Crisp body.

Keg to growler fill from Caps Off, Bishop Auckland. McColl's colaboration with Steam Machine. Murky gold sand colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of juicy tropical fruits, citrus, hoppy. Taste is sweetish malt, caramel, grain, oats with zesty floral, tropical fruit, citrus and chalky bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry dusty bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Keg at ORB, Darlington. Yellow gold colour, thin white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of zesty lemon. Taste is zesty, citrus lemon rind, yeasty, grain with a gin & tonic note and some bitterness. Slick mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Refreshing, quite drinkable.

440ml can bought at Mr Foley's in Leeds, shared with TheCellarer. Unclear grey-golden body, filmy layer, spotty lacing. Mid-sweet tropical fruity aromas. Blended taste profile of peaches, apricot and a backdrop of caramel sweetness. Rather sweet malt-fruity end. Satisfying. (Hotel Kitchen, Leeds University 03.07.2019).

440ml can bought at Mr Foley's in Leeds, shared with TheCellarer. Deep dark brown body with a ruby shade. Low off-white head. Spotty lacing. Smell of dark fruits, mid-sweet. Rather rich taste of dark plums, prunes and dark malts, mid-sweet. Dark fruity ending. Medium bodied. Pretty nice. (Hotel room, Leeds 03.07.2019).

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 31st May 2019. Hazy yellow with no foam or lace. Coconut and vanilla aroma. Sour lactic citrus in-mouth with a ‘children’s fruit squash’ flavour and an unexpectedly sour finish fir a saison. Flat, watery texture but medium body.

Cask at craft beer co clerkenwell. Pours clear amber, nose is lemon, toffee, slight funk, taste is juicy fruit, zesty, tart citrus.

18/5/2019. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle shared at the Warsaw GP beer share. Pours clear pale amber with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, sweet caramel, hops, banana and light peppery notes. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Yeast fruity finish. Very light Sorachi Ace here given it's usual dominance. Had expected something more from this one.
