Tap. Pours slightly hazy orange amber, small off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma is field grass, hints of apple, coriander, cinnamon. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, apples, but minimal cinnamon. Medium body. Eh.

Husky yeast nose. Clear amber, thin head. Yeast, lemony bread crust, some light apple notes. Light body, moderate carbonation. More of an American style wheat, bready and hearty but lacking fruitier esters of a Belgian wit.

Dark brown coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of deep roasted and toasted malts along with some oats and light specialty grains with a light amount of sugars and a touch of metal and astringent qualities. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavour with a touch of coffee and a super small amount of chocolate, but more earthier and deep caramelised sweetness around with some lighter fruit elements near the back and a dash of more noticeable coffee near the end. Aftertaste is largely about the malt and pungent grain with some subdued sweetness from the pitted fruits, but also showing some earth and yeast/bread towards the end as well. Overall, a nice and robust beer showing some light complexities, but not enough for the style to be considered great or worth searching out. Nice to sample and the price was about right, but there could be a bit more complexity or depth to this one. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Springfield, Virginia on 19-December-2017 for US$5,99 sampled at home in Manassas, Virginia on Christmas Day, 25-December-2017 with family!

Can from Craft Beer Cellar, Washington DC. Near black in colour, with a decently-sized, off-white, head. Deep, toasty, malts some liquorice and a touch of leafy hop, before a dryish finish. Good.

Rich deep brown coloured body with a tannish, single centimetre tall head. Aroma of caramelised sugars, malt, a touch of spices and very little else. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavours throughout with a mild spicey character showing some allspice and a touch of canella along with a bit of sugars and off-flavours. Aftertaste shows sweetness, malt, earth, pungent sugars and pitted fruits and ending with a relatively pungent flavour of malt, light spices, earth and a hint of the yeast and funk around the edges. Overall, a decent-ish beer with some stronger earthier and pungent, almost medicinal characteristics that show some sweetness, grain and complexities, but not overwhelmingly so. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Fairfax, Virginia on 10-September-2017 for US$2,79 sampled at home in Washington on 05-December-2017.

12oz bottle, purchased from Total Wine - Fairfax. Poured a caramel orange color with a medium sized, slightly off-white head. Aroma was some light earthy smoke, some dried meat, with some light citrus. Flavor was that faint smell you get from a colonial-era smokehouse with a little bit of juicy citrus in there and a little bit of grain.
