2/1/2021. Bottle courtesy of SHIG, cheers! Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, milk chocolate, caramel, coffee, lactose. Medium plus sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, rather watery, average carbonation. Nice aroma but not much otherwise.

[12oz bottle from Beer52.] An oily black pour with a fast fading chocolate coloured head; aroma of cocoa powder; dry and oily in the mouth with a dark chocolate taste; and a bitter but creamy finish. Excellent.

Bottle from Beer52. Deep brown-black with virtually no head and a very light fizz. Smooth, slightly sweet chocolate with a hint of liquorice and a lovely light smokeyness leading to a light dryness in the smooth finish. Thought this was very nice.

Bottle from Beer 52 April box. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, coffee hints. The taste follows, little metallic note, hints of burnt roast. Overall, it's sweeter than it should be for the style. Medium body, semi dry close.

Tight tan head stayed on a dark brown still body. Malt, oat & burnt aroma. Medium bodied with a tingle on the front & a smoother back. Sweet fruity tastes with malt, roasted, berries & cereal. Standard
