Country Boy Brewing was founded in 2012 by three native Kentuckians with a passion for great craft beer. Country Boy prides itself on making minimally processed beers with high quality, real ingredients. Their passion for great beer shines through their core brands, Cougar Bait American Blonde Ale and Shotgun Wedding Vanilla Brown Ale. Their recent expansion to Georgetown, KY with the largest production brewery in the state will allow them to can their popular Cliff Jumper IPA and Halfway Home Pale Ale, in addition to several seasonal offerings.

Draft. Brett, lemon, biscuit malt, and orange peel aroma. Cloudy amber with moderate head. Lightly sweet lemon, biscuit malt, mildly sour Brett, and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Okay body.

Tap at CYO. Pours a pitch black with a finger of foam that lingers. Oaky nose with deep, charred cacao nib and bourbon aromas as it warms. Light and kind of thin-bodied. Thin mouthfeel, but slightly skim-milky with vanilla and light cocoa powder. Warming finish, but a quick finish.

On tap at Hunah Day. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong wood, bourbon, roast. Medium body, roasted malt, chocolate, very boozy finish, good.

Tap at J’s. Pours a glowing straw with a finger of fluffy foam that lingers. Citrus, melon rind and green pineapple on the nose. Clean and crisp, light-bodied west coast style. More melon and citrus, light bitterness on the finish. Really well executed.

2016 Bottle shared. Pours a deep brown to black with cola-like carbonation. Baby diaper and vomit lacto, touch of cola. Tastes better than it smells, but still infected. Creamy cola with some cacao. Funky finish with some light roast.
