2015 bottle shared. This one wasn’t as bad as the 2016. Still the infection was noticeable and quite vinous. Lot’s of burgundy and bordeaux wine notes with dark cherry and chocolate. Slightly sour on the finish. Drinkable and much better than the previous bottle. Still would like to try on tap when a new batch comes out.

Tap at J’s. Pours a copper brown with a finger of off-white, creamy foam that lingers. Light vanilla ice cream nose and cola. Smooth and light with a vanilla bean cola flavor on the palate. Sweet, but not cloying. Smooth and creamy finish.

Bottle: Cloudy, light golden-tan with a thin white head. Lemon, crabapple scent. Taste is tart, zesty crabapple, sugar. Grows more sour as it goes. Tasty and nicely puckering.

Tap at Gambrinus. Pours a clear deep mahogany color with almost no head. Really easy drinking oud bruin. Lots of oak on the nose with a big vinous character. Deep, earthy cherry and light wood. Dry on the palate, well-rounded and thirst quenching.

Dark brown color. Big malty sweet nose with loads of bourbon. Big malty mouth, lots of dark fruit, chocolate, burnt raisins, brown sugar, boozy, lots of bourbon, but never overly sweet or cloying. Big warming finish with some dark fruit chocolate and bourbon notes. I like the fact it’s never gets too sweet for being so big. In that sense it’s well balanced and executed. Didn’t find it had mind blowing depth and I prefer the Angry Moses more, but nonetheless a solid brew.

Bottle. Sugar, crabapple, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Light sweet-tart crabapple, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Body a bit light. Pleasant.

Draft at the brewery, in a tulip glass. Reddish brown medium bodied beer with fruity aroma and tart cherry taste. Very good lingering finish.
