Case of cans shared with family. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. LIght grain notes with a touch of lemon on the nose. Clean and crisp, refreshing and easy drinking. Not overly bitter. Standard, no frills blonde ale.

Tap at J’s. Pours a deep brown to black with a minimal head. Jalapeno forward nose with some cacao nib and baker’s chocolate in the background. Very light on the palate and thin-bodied, but it is a porter base. Lot’s of dark chocolate with the jalapeno being a bit muted, but comes out a tad as it warms. Hides the abv immaculately. Couldn’t really find any bourbon notes, but thats ok. Still a nice imperial porter.

On tap at Great Flood Brewing. Pours a cloudy copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong jalapenos and roast. Medium body, cocoa, roast, strong heat in finish, good.

Tap at CYO Brewing. Pours a fairly deep brown to black with a small beige head that dissipates quickly. Big roasted coffee nose with a touch of cacao nib. Thin bodied with light caramel. Some plum and cocoa powder on the palate. Roasty finish.

Tap at CYO Brewing. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Lots of peach aromas with some faint tropical fruit in the background. Somehow some cinnamon spice appears on the palate. A tad sweet as it warms with some creaminess on the palate. Not bad, but maybe missing something.

Tap at Gambrinus. Huge oak-forward nose without much else going on, maybe a touch of vanilla and bourbon, but the oak is intense. More oak on the palate. Boozy. The finish is a bit sharp and has some sourness. Maybe more of a vinous quality. Warming and fairly intense.

On tap at Royals Hot Chicken. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is dough, salt, wheat. Thin body, sea salt, lemon zest, wheat, crisp, good.

On tap at Yellow Ape’s 4th Anniversary Event. A reddish brown pour with a beige head. It’s got a sharp floral rye whiskey aroma. Medium bodied and fairly smooth bodied, the taste is oaky, wood, whiskey and sweet but really nice and that massive ABV is completely hidden.
