Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Almost black with a huge and lively loose beige head. Black malts, bitter cooking chocolate, demerara sugar in the aroma.sweet taste with notes of salted caramel, plum, treacle. Bitterness sneaks in for an intense finish. Thick body, soft carbonation. Excellent

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Blue Boar, Leicester mid-afternoon on 21st January 2025. Hazy golden body, white crust. Citrus bite with a slight malty sweetness, but this is all about the hops.

Cask at the Colmore, Birmingham. Light cloudy gold, creamy looking off white head, plenty of lacing. This one had grapefruit, grape, leafy-floral notes with corresponding bitterness. Nice smooth light body, tingly carbonation, refreshing. Very good light cask pale.

Keg @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden with plenty of carbonation creating a bubbly but mostly frothy head. Crisp lager, clean enough tasting, ordinary flavour.
