Pale gold with a frothy / creamy white head and a tangerine and light cereal malt aroma. Light bodied, mellow citrus bitterness, light cereal malt and a dry, moderately bitter finish.

Keg draught at the brewery tap, Stourbridge. Mid- to dark gold, cloudy with a small swirl of white head. Aroma of canned pineapple, white grapefruit, a little bit of vanilla malt. Bittersweet Tate, more pineapple and grapefruit with a very bitter finish. Light body with medium carbonation. Not bad, but kind of muddy overall.

I could never get enough of the wacky-races cartoon as a kid. Good-looking but not quite black pour, it has a clear appearance glow to it, but very dark nevertheless. Plum in aroma and taste is not the most stated against specialist brewers of this style, but it's good enough for me. Low on its dark maltiness character as the sweetness of the fruit is more prominent.
