Our Isle of Man friends provided a 500 ml bottle and I’m trying it out now later on our holiday. The labels, front and back, contain a ton of information on the beer and the island. I pour and see a promptly receding head of almost white foam on top of a dark copper-amber liquid. The scent is full of grain, barley I can particularly note. I call the taste a beer’s beer. Malt, barley, enough hops to make note of, a small bit of caramel and more bitterness than expected. Not bad.
