Description
Started brewing in 1986 based on Victoria St in Douglas when they were known as Bushy's Brewpub. A need for extra capacity caused a move to their current location the Mount Murray Brewery in 1990 with the plant coming from the defunct Brighton Brewery.

11/4/2024. Served from the wood at the 11th Isle of Man Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear bright golden amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is malty, straw, caramel, light wood, citrus, orange, mild spicy notes. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, smooth, soft carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. Enjoyable.

10/4/2024. Cask at The Sidings, Catsletown, IoM. 5% abv. Pours clear golden amber with a small creamy white head. Aroma is toffee, malty, buttery, fruity, hoppy and a little stewed. Quite sweet with moderate bitterness, and a chalky edge. Moderate body, smooth, average to soft carbonation. Not bad.

9/4/2024. Cask at the Shore Hotel, Laxey, IoM. Pours clear mid-brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, liquorice, toffee, brown bread, slight boiled veg edge. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Chewy dry fruity liquorice finish, with a hint of fishermanโs friend. Not totally spot on.
