9/4/2024. Cask at the Shore Hotel, Laxey, IoM. Pours clear mid-brown with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, liquorice, toffee, brown bread, slight boiled veg edge. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Chewy dry fruity liquorice finish, with a hint of fisherman’s friend. Not totally spot on.
