From the source. Dark brown nearly black. Thin white head, light retention. Nose and flavor is rocking! Dark roasted grains, charred barley, hints of coffee grounds and a light caramel sweetness. The body is full and has a chewy texture from the flaked oats. At 5.5 % this could be a stout I drink for a long duration. Damn nice job here.

One-third pint, gravicask, American Bar, GBBF 2013 on the third day. Hazy apricot coloured body. Malt-fruity aromas, jam-like. Ripe fruity taste, notes of apricot, peaches and dusty hops. Rounded and smooth bittersweet tail. Medium bodied. Fresh with session qualities (London Olympia 15.08.2013).

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is floral hops, orange, grass, citrus. Taste comprises light caramel, hint of veg, orange, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Not a great APA but drinkable none the less.

GBBF Day 3. Lightly hazy gold beer. Small white head. Light and semi dry palate with light fine carbonation. Sweetish malt, little honey. Light marmalade hops. Floral note. Mild tropical fruits. Light dry finish. Quite Golden Ale like.

Keg at the brewpub, Portland. Pours lightly hazed yellow with a lasting white cream head. The aroma has some dry dough, lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with lots of dry, rindy citrus bitterness, lemon and mandarin orange. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Further rindy bitterness to finish, mostly lemon rind, mellow minerals, dry pale malts, hay. Easy drinker.

Keg at the brewpub, Portland. Pours clear, matte gold with a foamy white head. Nice bready malt nose, so,e toasted cereal. Sweet flavor with minimal bitterness, rich breadiness, faint hay, cereal. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweetness to finish, lightly crispy bread, hay, cereal, hints of dry caramel and orange. Well balanced, quite tasty. Very drinkable.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grainy, light citrusy hoppy. Toasted malty, grainy to toasted malt. Mild fruity and bitter. Vague teaish on the hops. Bitter and toffee malty into the finish.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Butterscotch and coconut aromas. Soft with sweet butterscotch and caramel front to back. Dry hot tropical finish.
