2013 bottle from my rotbox. Pours a clear, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Aroma has banana, apple, pear, white pepper, spices, and some white sugar. Moderate high sweetness. Moderate low bitterness. A little booze on the back end. Surprisingly not all that much oxidation. A little bit of caramel, lots of white fruit, and some spices. This actually isn’t all that bad closet aged for three years.

Pours a very pale straw gold, little foam and that leaves quick smart.

Kinda spicy hops in the German way with the smell. Also, a strange aroma.

Hoppy but the spicy I mentioned in the smell comes across to me as resembling cinnamon. That ruins it for me for a so called German Pils.

Light bodied and carbonation.

Not a good effort from Crabtree, imho.

Weird spicy flavour that resembles cinnamon to me. Pretty bitter otherwise. Not something I would order again.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese. Pours bright gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma is confusing. Maybe it’s honey and rye. Med body at least. Flavor is honey, and somewhat earthy - rye is in it. It’s even rather floral - apparently thanks to the honey? A bit more honey than I’d usually want, but it works. Rather unusual flavor palate.

Pours pitch black, small tannish head of foam, some lacing.

Light smell. Some mild bitterness from roasted malt and oats with a strange bit of sweetness.

Light oats and roasted malt but not as dry as I was hoping for. Again, it has a slight sweetness like that from a Milk Stout.

Carbonation is okay but the body is thin.

One pint and done.

Bottle. A- Sour, vinegar, strawberry, wheat, funky. A- Murky brown color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Sour, strawberry, funk, unbalanced. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish. O- Bottles says it’s a blonde ale, Ratebeer says it’s a fruit beer, and my mouth says it’s a sour/wile ale. I don’t know what the hell this actually is, but it’s not overly great. It’s looks absolutely horrible and the palate does little to help that. Although it is not totally horrible. Strawberry is subtle.

Nicht schlecht. Light on the spices and pumpkin flavour. Glad I only got a sample vs pint though.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese. Pours a rather brownish copper with slight small bubbles. Aroma is sour/funky/oak. Med body. Flavor is moderate sour/funky/oak with a touch of wine. Sadly also a touch of remembrance of Rogue Beard Beer. This is really rather mild, but it’s really rather delicious. Surprising! Get it if you can.

Pours a clear copper with virtually no foam.

The smell is of tart fruit mixed with some sweet fruit and a nice woody aroma from the oak aging. Hints of Brett...

The taste is tart and sweet from the fruit with a goodly woody character and some notes of Brett, which is mostly mid palate. It finishes on the tart side and has a long aftertaste.

On the low side of medium bodied, lightish carbonation. Good mouthfeel.

Overall, a very enjoyable American Wild Ale.
