16 oz. can. Aroma is mild coffee, light marzipan, and subtle chocolate. Flavor follows and each adjunct is balanced. Considering this is a milk stout, the body is a tad lean. All considered, real tasty.

Pours dark black into an English pint. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Milk chocolate, espresso, caramel and vanilla aromas. Dry with sweet vanilla, caramel, and milk chocolate upfront turning to sour espresso in the lasting finish.

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Mocha head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Date, fig and molasses aromas. Thin and sweet with warm fig, date and molasses front to back. Pretty one dimensional, but OK on that dimension.

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. No head. Sweet toffee aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel, dark pit fruit and oak front to back. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Barleywine 2025 - Nitro on 17 May 2025 at 23:42 - Score: Appearance - 9 | Aroma - 7.5 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Pours mahogany-tinged dark brown into a tulip. Mocha head with excellent retention does not recede after vigorous pour. Dark molasses, brown bread and mild anise aromas. Thick with hot golden syrup, molasses and caramel front to back. Slick, lasting molasses finish. Quite sweet, but tasty.

16 oz can. Aroma has bold scallion, grass, and herb. This reflects the base beer of the non-double dry hopped. A little bit of toffee malt with the bold mosaic characteristics. Azacca shows mild pine and adds dankness. I loved this in 2015. However, these days I’m not sure this is my thing.

12 oz bottle. Aroma has soft toffee and soft bourbon. Flavor has very mild vanilla from bourbon, light toffee, soft wood. It has a good amount of flavor, considering the ABV. Nice!

500 ml. Aroma is white wine, oak, and some acidic notes. Flavor is floral, funky yeast, and buttery white wine. I mean pretty much what it should be I was hoping I would like it a little bit more than what I did. Still nice for what it is.

16 oz can. Aroma has mango, lychee, and straw. Flavor follows with a little bit of grapefruit peel bitterness. Pretty well balanced, and I have to hand it to this brewery. The quality after all of these years has never gone down. Well done.

16 oz can. Aroma shows me wheat raisin and soft chocolate. Flavor is the same with the addition of a mild spicy note in the finish. OK malt depth. I guess about what you would expect for a German dark lager.
