Stemware at Toronado, September 2024. Dark, shiny, waiting. Boozy barrel dominant. Raisin & oily chocolate cake nose. Bittersharp, but plenty sweet. Lots of toasted coconut & dark chocolate, dense & oxidized malt turned toffee. Middle is vinous, dark & quite good. Tasty.

Canned 6/27/24, drunk 9/12/24. Lightly cloudy blueberry pulp. Small, blueberry-tinged head. Fleeting. Excellent fruitiness, authentic, juicy, tart, floral...Not too much berliner, maybe could be a bit more wheat and lactic character, but at least it's not punchy. Yet it's plenty lactic/tart in the mouth. Juicy, gently tart, lots of soft, nutty wheat. Very light-bodied, not surprisingly, for 3.7%. Still, given how incredible the other entries in this series were, I think they kind of dropped the ball on these later entries (as in, whoever brewed the earlier stuff, didn't brew this). It's clean, tart, fruity, but just not up to par with what they were doing with this series back in the late 2010's.
