Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.
Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.
GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Draught keg at the Real Ale Classroom, City centre, Leicester. Fresh aroma. Grapefruit, tropical fruits, nectarine. Sweet taste, some fank hop, notes of tropical fruit, citrus, weed. Bitterness in the finish is nicely pronounced but it remains a balanced beer. Medium body with carbonation on the heavy side. An incredible weighty IPA.

440ml can from RAD Beer. Pours a hazy golden, white head. Aroma of sweet guava and mango, berries. Taste is sweet and juicy, guava, mango, papaya, berry fruits and finishing with a hit of grapefruit. Medium bodied, very soft, smooth. A little more bitterness and this would be even better.
