Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black with a vague, burgundy hue and a lacing, beige head. Subtle citrusy hops a base of chocolate roast. Medium body, very heavy on the licorice notes with a solid bitterness in the finish. Not a bad exaple of a now rare style. 040221

ABV: 10.0%. Hazy dark dark black brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, dark fruit, chocolate - coffee, wood, vanilla, light alcohol, light smoke. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, vanilla, dark fruit, coffee - chocolate, molasses - sugary malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20210130]

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, herbal, light to moderate chocolate - coffee, moderate hoppy, pine, grapefruit, herbs - hemp, light wood - woody. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood - woody, roasted, dark malt, herbal, fruity hops, malt and hops bitter, pine - light grapefruit, light to moderate coffee - chocolate, light barrel - bourbon, medium dry. Can 44 cl. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, light brown head. Has a fun almost fruity roastiness in the nose. Rich and very sweet roast and molasses, sweet licorice and a lowish carbonation. And again this fun fruitiness. May seem a little rough and under attenuated. Malt bitter finish. 161220

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (29/11/2020) - black with a lovely big beige head. Dark malty roast with solid hoppy action, note of grapefruit and pine needles, subtle ashy roast, medium body, roasted malty and robust bitter hoppy finish. Lovely cda.
