Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy light brown head. Nose has rough wood and tannins with some sweet roast lurking underneath. Fat, malty body. Rough and harsh roast with ashes and an annoying tartness. A somewhat crude barrel aging that didn't really do the beer any good. 260220

Handbottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense and creamy, beige head. Cognac and oaky tannins are the first to appear in the aroma, more subtle vanilla comes later while the Mocca is fairly downplayed. Medium body, heavy, bitter roast, Mocca becoming much more prominent adding to the roasty bitterness. Still Cognac and heavy tannin oak. Maybe a little too thinbodied for the massive flavors, or just a little young and raw and could do with some mellowing for quite a while. 091219
