Pretty well balanced. Raspberry and whatever boysenberry tastes. Murky purple pour with decent head. Tart finish. Can.

Can from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Opaque black with ring of head, nice viscosity and trace lacing. Aroma is strong peanuts, mildly tart lactose. Taste is strong peanuts, roasted malt, mild tart element. Smooth texture, full bodied, average carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Good strength of peanuts in aroma and flavor but, on positive note, base stout is present but, on negative note, mild tart note from lactose or peanuts that is unwelcome.

16 oz. Can shared by tfontana, thanks Tom! Aroma has a very mild sour hint under the chocolate. Flavor has chocolate, weak vanilla, and a weak lactose sourness. This isn’t totally spoiled but… not only does the sour hint not belong, it also throws off the nice flavor that was here. Meh.

Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is a little oliy malt. Flavor is a toasted bread with a little bitterness on the back end. Not this brewers best effort.

Dog at dog camp 😢. Nice plenty of dry hop flavor, sweet soft finish.
