Bottle at Bambalyne, Vilnius. Light brown, translucent. A trifle insipid-looking. Intense chocolate malt aroma. There isn’t much else in the nose but there doesn’t need to be. Likewise, the taste is straightforward yet profound. Massive malt hit, sweet, with notes of milk chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. The alcohol makes its presence felt in the finish. Palate is a bit thin, and I’d have liked more carbonation. Still very good.
