Bottle at the Airbnb purchased at the brewery. Opaque golden pour with no head. Nose is strong phenols, peppery notes. Taste is sweetish malts upfront, then it’s heavily phenolic, spicy, peppery with a dry and surprisingly bitter finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation. A bit messy and waay too phenolic.

Tap at the brewery. Lightly malty, somewhat bitter but super vaguely, and it’s got a nice spicyness to it, subtle enough but it’s definitely there and it does give the beer a cheeky twist and makes it more complex and pretty drinkable. Nicely done.

Tap at the brewery. Deep brown pour with a beige head. Nose is chocolate, toffee and coconut. Taste is chocolate-forward with nutty, coconuty touches. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, it’s got a somewhat oily body.

Tap at the brewery. Deeper golden pour with a white head. Nose is citruses, pine, grass, honey and some booze. Taste is resinous hops, grass, herbal notes and light booze. Intensely bitter with a dry finish. Light to medium bodied and it’s got a soft carbonation. Old school IPA that’s not essentially flawed but feels like it could use some modernisation.

Tap at the brewery. Pour opaque pinkish golden with a white head. Nose is light lactic notes, vague citruses and guava. Taste is surprisingly mellow, barely sour I’d say, it’s fruity and somewhat malty. Closes with a tad tart fruity finish, has a light body and soft carbonation.

Straight from the tank at Pelikaan, courtesy of Nico. Deep brown pour with an off-white head. Nose is sweetish, spicy, it shows malts, nuts, oak and rum. Taste is sweet malts, nuts, molasses, vanilla and rum, some oak and cinnamon. Closes with a sweet, warm finish, it’s got a medium body and soft carbonation. Nicely done!

Trued from tap at random bar on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Clear copper to amber color, whitehead. Smell and taste are malts, solid hoppy bitters, bitterness. English IPA / pale ale I would say. Not bad.

Sampled at a bar on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Golden color, small white head. Aroma and flavor are, honestly, very poor: malts, buttery, clear brewing errors in there. Decently bitter. But poor quality.
