Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.
Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head. The aroma has plum skins and malts. In the mouth it is decidedly sweet, but with a little underlying sharpness. Flavour has plums, roasted malts and hints of chocolate. Plums increase later and traces of spice and treacle come through leading to a slightly dry finish. This is decent – despite the name the plums aren’t overwhelming.

Hand-pulled cask ale, half-pint, shared with Finn. Filmy layer, scattered lacing, and a misty golden coloured body. Fresh tropical fruity aromas, inviting. Moments of grapefruit and peaches to the taste character, backbone of fruity wheat. Soft fruity ending. Quite alright.

Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn. Close to clear golden body, scattered lacing from a declining white head. Moderately citrus aromas, mid-dry. Quite well hopped flavours with orange and pineapple on a backbone of pale malts. Rounded hop fruity tail with a noticeable bitter twist.
