Cask at The Anchor, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark chestnut brown with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is hugely fruity. The flavour is medium bitter, rich, with red berries and some dry spicy hoppiness on the palate. A real winter warmer if I ever tasted one. It has bags of complex flavours and really deserves a top rating.

Hazy orange beer, tidy off white head. Very nice nose of orange cream. Light palate, soft and semi dry. Water chesnuts and a pleasant dash of citrus. Mild seltzer minerals. Finish is semi dry and soapy. Infected but not a complete disaster!

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 3. Pours rich black with a bubbly, tan head. Cocoa and roasted malt aroma. Medium sweet flavor, notes of milk chocolate, good roasted malts. Slight lactic sugars. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great, balanced finish, mild burnt sugar, roasty malts. Suberb stuff. Very well done.
