Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017, day one - London. Pours clear reddish brown with a foamy, tan head. The aroma holds light chocolate cake, mellow roast, dried berries. Light sweet flavour with a bit of brown bread, subtle astringency, ashy roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation; so so condition. Dry finish, some bitter chocolate, more ash. So so overall.

Cask @ Brink, Manchester. Golden with a small head. Has a slightly robust hoppiness, which is surprising for an ale with such an easy strength.
